Sorcha Has The Blues

I have this fantastic new dress from Snowpaws!  It's such a beautiful blue color that I had to im Carrie and tell her how beautiful it is...and I've worn it for at least two weeks solid, maybe it's been three!  It goes great with this new set of jewelry from ELEMENTAL--I call it Sorcha, and it is packed with possibilities.  There is a set of three necklaces that can be worn separately or stacked together.  Each necklace has 17 different cord textures, 4 stone textures, 4 metals, and 16 bead textures to mix and match.  There are matching earrings, and bracelets.

You could wear one or two of the necklaces with jeans or a casual dress--the shortest necklace would look great as a single.  Or you could opt for earrings or bracelets alone if you were wearing a high neckline.
Set 1 includes stones of Lapis (shown below), a pretty green chrysoprase, black spiderweb obsidian, and red carnelian.  Set 2 includes turquoise, green jasper, purple sugalite (shown above), and red coral.

I'm wearing:
Jewelry:  ELEMENTAL JEWELRY--Sorcha Necklaces, Earrings, and Bracelets.  Texture changing with two color sets from which to choose.
Hair:  D!VA--Astralia in black amber.  Purchased on sale @ Collabor88.
Skin:  League--Jen in pales.  Purchased full price.
Eyes:  Mayfly--Liquid Light mesh eyes in absinthe.  Purchased on sale.
Dress:  Snowpaws--Royale Sapphire Gown.  Purchased on sale.
Location:  The Looking Glass.

A Longing For Lost Things

I don't enjoy winter, and I refuse to wear a heavy winter coat.  I mean, you can't see your necklace, right?  But, I saw this beautiful winter sim, Dawn of Radiance, on  Ziki's Blog and Strawberry Singh's blog and just had to play copycat.  Above, I am a water goddess floating on an icy lake--at least, that's what I was imagining (insert giggle here).  I am wearing new jewelry from ELEMENTAL, the Galena jewelry.  I've been feeling like wearing long, flowing dresses and visiting fantasy sims, so I've dragged out some of my favorite things.  All of the dresses seen in this post are from Kouse's Sanctum, which closed earlier this year, but was always one of my favorites.  I don't like long dresses made of mesh--they just don't flow.  I miss Kouse, and I just don't understand why everything has to be mesh.  It just doesn't work well for some things.  (Although I am going through the painful process of learning to make my own mesh.  That, and my busy rl are why you haven't heard much from me recently.  And there it is--my excuse for no posts in November.)

My hair is an old one from Truth Hair, and I am going to whine just a bit more.  As you may well know, Truth has always been my favorite.  Sadly, I can no longer say that.  Since Truth switched to mesh, the hair is like wearing a helmet--no realistic movement.  And, worse, my Truth mesh hair vanishes when I move my camera out normal walking distance, leaving me mostly bald.  And, it's not just me....I've had people tell me that I'm bald.  We can't have that!  I've asked for advice for adjusting settings (the reference in the Truth info card appears to no longer exist), and will post the info if I ever receive a reply.  In the meantime, I will just keep wearing my old Truth hair.  Too bad Truth doesn't make the old ones available on Marketplace.  (That's a hint.  Will someone with influence pass it along?)

Well, enough longing for lost things.  There are, indeed, some new and wondrous things to be had.  Pop over to ELEMENTAL and take a closer look at the Galena jewelry.  You will find 3 sets from which to choose.  Each set is texture changing with 5 metals and 3 stones.  Set 1 includes Red Jasper (bottom photo), peacock Chrysocolla, and Spiderweb Obsidian.  Set 2--Pink Opal, a lighter Chrysocolla (middle photo), and a yellowish Amber.  Set 3--Purple Agate, Chrysoprase, and Lapis (top photo).  The hairband works with lots of hairstyles, but you will need to adjust placement and sizing.

I'm wearing:
Jewelry:  ELEMENTAL JEWELRY--Galena necklace, earrings, bracelets, and hairband.
Skin:  League--Jen skin in pales.  Purchased full price.
Hair:  Truth Hair--Trinity in dark browns.  Purchased full price some time ago.
Eyes:  Mayfly Eyes--Liquid Light Mesh Eyes--tropical blue.  Purchased, probably on sale.
Dresses:  Kouse's Sanctum--I won't go into detail because they are no longer available, but I purchased the top 2 full price, and the red dress was a group gift.
Location:  Dawn of Radiance sim.  Please see the links to Ziki's and Berry's blogs for better photos of the actual sim and slurls.  And, by all means, go have a look around.

Darla Goes To The Beach

I found an interesting place to snap some photos--Trailer Park.  But don't let the name fool you.  There are lots of different "scenes" that make a good background.  I have on yet another new hairdo from D!VA.  This one is called Ange and you can wear it with flowers and with long tresses that hang over the shoulders in front.  I, of course, detached the long hair in favor of the up-do so you could see my new earrings.  The jewelry is called Darla and it's from ELEMENTAL.  I like the shiny woven metal cord and metal beads, which can be either gold or silver.  There are 2 stone choices in each set, and you can change the texture so that you have all of one color, or you can mix them.

Each set is shown here in the post.  At the top, you have a pretty aqua jasper with coral--I like those colors together.  Then, there is a black jasper with red abalone, amethyst with green garnet, and at the bottom is the blue jasper and chrysocolla set.

It's Roxanne--Not The One In The Song

Actually, I went to high school with a girl named Roxanne, and I always thought it was a great name.  I feel really pretty today.  I have some great new D!VA hair, and a beautiful mesh top from Maitreya, plus some fabulous new jewelry from ELEMENTAL.  I really like this set--and it's called Roxanne.  The jewelry features a faceted teardrop gem with filigree and texture changing semi-precious stones to coordinate or contrast with the main stone.  In each set, there are 4 stone textures from which to choose, which gives lots of wardrobe variety.  You can also make it shiny silver or gold, whichever suits your fancy, or even a darker silver if your mood is dark.  In the top photo, I'm wearing the emerald set and below it's the ruby.

Oh, and those aren't backdrops you see in the photos.  It's art!  I popped into the Surreal Effects Art Gallery to check out the exhibit and thought it would be a great background for my photos.  The art is done with animated light effects and is quite beautiful to wander through.

If you'd like to see the other stone choices in the Roxanne collection, pop over to ELEMENTAL JEWELRY and have a look in the "New" section up front.  Here's a slurl:

The Wonderful Oz Tour

I found a great  place to explore--Enchantment Island.  There are several different themes you can follow, and this time, I'm doing the Wizard of Oz Tour.  Uh oh!  The house landed on the wicked witch!  Throughout the tour, there are lots of info stations that provide trivia as well as quotes from the original book.  Did you know that in the book Dorothy's slippers are silver, not ruby?  Who knew?  I think this might be a case where the book is better than the movie, so I'm planning to pick up a copy.

I'm wearing clothes from Sn@tch, and jewelry from ELEMENTAL JEWELRY.  This is the Bianca Necklace & Earrings, and I'm thinking it might have some great possibilities for role play outfits.  It comes in 3 color sets--Classics (top), Dichroic Glass (middle), and Lights (bottom). Classics include blue turquoise, black obsidian, carnelian, and green turquoise. The Dichroic Glass set includes a vibrant purple, red, blue, and green choice in "gems".  The Lights set includes a pretty light blue chrysocolla, coral, a lighter green turquoise, and a light colored amethyst.

Lucky Arabella Wins The Prize!

Do you like lucky boards?  I don't think it's a surprise to anyone that I LOVE them.  When I'm blogging, making vendor ads, etc, I see no reason why I should waste my SL time, so I'm usually standing in front of a set of lucky boards while I work.  Below, I'm patiently waiting at one of my favorite spots, Sn@tch.  Come on....give me a "C"!!  LOL.  (And, yes, I did win the dress!  Yay!)  Oh, yes, jewelry...In this post, I am modeling the newest release from ELEMENTAL JEWELRY, Arabella.  I actually started with the bracelet, which I think is the absolute best piece in the set, and everything else followed.  The set is divided into packages so you can pick and choose--A Necklace Set with a medium and long pendant which you can layer or wear separately, An Earring & Ring Set containing the earrings and left & right rings, and a Bracelet Set containing the left & right bracelets.  The jewelry is texture changing--gold or silver with 3 stone choices per texture set--#1 includes green Peridot, Turquoise, & Coral, #2 has Sugalite, Chrysoprase, & Fire Opal, and #3 includes Labradorite, Ammolite, & Unikite.  Above, I'm wearing Set #3 with gold & labradorite.

In photos 2 & 3, I'm wearing Set #1 with gold & turquoise, and at the bottom, I'm wearing Set #2 with gold & sugalite.

You can find the Arabella Jewelry @ the ELEMENTAL JEWELRY mainshop.  This weekend, you can pick it up for a ridiculously low introductory price of 60L for each set!  And, while you're there, be sure to check out the hunts and group gifts.

Here's Where I Got The Beautiful Hair...And Jewelry

At least once a week I receive a notecard from a customer wanting to know what this hairstyle is--it appears on many of my vendor photos because I enjoy wearing it.  It's really beautiful, isn't it?  (Actually, I was shopping one day and noticed a lady with this hair, and I just HAD to ask her where she got it.  Funny!)  It's Dina from Emo-tions Hair.  OK, now let's play a bit of catch up on the petite jewelry available @ PETITE ELEMENTAL JEWELRY, and, of course, it's all available at "biggie" ELEMENTAL JEWELRY as well.  Above is the Petite Adriana Necklace & Earrings in Lights--Peridot (shown above), Turquoise, Blue Moonstone, & Rhodochrosite, Silver or Gold, all in one texture-changing set.  I really like this set as it's a bit different, not a pendant or choker, more like a showpiece to set off any neckline.  It's also available in "Brights"--Amethyst, Spiderweb Obsidian, Amazonite, & Red Abalone.

I couldn't resist including this shot.  I'm at The Noble Storybook sim, a magnificent tribute to Beatrix Potter, and I'm standing on her desk!  How great is that for a little fairy?  Oh, and the jewelry--The Petite Kira Necklace & Earrings in "Cools"--Purple Agate, Sugalite, Peacock Chrysocolla, Turquoise, Blue Chaldedony, and Moonstone with Gold, Silver, & Black metal.  Also in "Warms"--Fire Opal, Fire Agate, Red Lace Agate, Amber, Ruby, and Red Italian Glass.  I have to tell you, this was a pain to adapt for petites.  LOL.  But, I think it was worth the effort.

And, below, The Petite Lilliana Necklace & Earrings in "Classics"--Ruby, Lapis Lazuli, Onyx, & Maw Sit Sit.  Also available in "Lights"--Rutilated Quartz, Pink Opal, Chrysocolla, & Ammolite--and "Brights"--Coral, Blue Jasper, Chrysoprase, & Charoite.  This one is really pretty and quite versatile.  I've worn it with casual clothes, evening clothes, and when I'm a fairy.

Kira At Skye Neist Point

Let's get away from formal jewelry for a bit.  This week, I'm wearing my jeans and taking a walk at Alex Bader's new place, Skye Neist Point.  As you might expect, this is a lovely sim with beautiful landscaping, and some good photo spots.  Above, I'm on the beach with sand between my toes.  I'm wearing the new Kira Necklace & Earrings from ELEMENTAL JEWELRY.  This set features a teardrop pendant, swirled rings, and bunches of tiny beads in your choice of 6 semi-precious stones.  You can change the main stone, rings, and small beads independently, mixing the stones for various looks.  Above, I'm wearing the Kira Cools set with peacock chrysocolla, but the beads are turquoise.  Other choices include purple agate, sugalite, blue chalcedony, and moonstone.

In the bottom photo, I'm wearing the Kira Warms set, featuring ruby stone and rings, with fire opal beads.  Other stone choices in this set include fire agate, amber, red lace agate, and a pretty red Italian glass.  Both sets change from silver to gold.  You can find them at ELEMENTAL JEWELRY:

It All Starts With A Smile

I popped over to a sim called It All Starts With A Smile today and found a lovely little town with plenty of photo possibilities.  There is a beautiful town square, lots of little shops to pose in front of, and ice cream parlor....really nice build.  I'm wearing that great hair I picked up from D!VA Hair--I'm feeling regret that I didn't buy it in more than one color.  And, this is the newest jewelry release from ELEMENTAL JEWELRY, the Lilliana Necklace & Earrings.  When I made this set, I was thinking it would be a more formal set of jewelry, but I like it just fine with my pretty tops and jeans.  In the top photo, you see the set in "Brights"--choices include Blue Jasper, Coral, purple Charoite, and Chrysoprase, and of course you can change between gold and silver.

I have been seeing a lot of pink this week, so I pulled out this lovely top from GField and paired it with the Lilliana "Lights" jewelry.  Here you see it in silver with pink opal stones, but you can also choose a pretty aqua Rutilated Quartz, blue Chrysocolla, or Ammolite with a blend of purples and golds.

Last, but not least, is the "Classics" set--Ruby, Lapis Lazuli, Onyx, or Maw Sit Sit.  The black onyx would have looked great with this black top, but I kind of like the combination of red and black.  You can have a look at all of the Lilliana sets, as well as some new Petite Jewelry if you drop into ELEMENTAL or PETITE ELEMENTAL JEWELRY, and catch it at the low introductory price of only 60L each.  Oh, and there is a fun April Group Gift Hunt going on at both the "biggie" and the petite shops--find the Daisy bunnies and you will have a complete set of jewelry!

Tessa In Wonderland...Or Almost!

I was doing the most recent Twisted Hunt, and I came upon a place called Almost Wonderland, a beautifully detailed place with an Alice In Wonderland theme.  If you drop in, be sure to go the whole route, following the rabbit down the hole, drinking the blue goop to get through the tiny door, etc.  Way too fun!  I'm also wearing a bunch of new, as well as some old items from my sl wardrobe.  The hair is a great new do from D!VA that is currently on sale at Collabor88.  You know I'm a D!VA fan, but I have to say this is one of the best I own.  The dress is a new one (at least for me) from Sn@tch, purchased at a bargain from one of the mob vendors.  I just bought the baby blues @ Mayfly Eyes, a new favorite.  And, of course, I'm wearing new jewelry from ELEMENTAL JEWELRY--The Dazzling Daisy Necklace & Earrings in blues and greens.

I like this new jewelry.  It has lots of texture changing options...the metal can be silver, gold, or copper, the main stones and center stones change between 4 choices (3 color sets available--blues, greens, and reds), the daisy petals change between a sparkling silver, gold, and copper, and the little freshwater pearls on the earrings can be a white, blue, or golden pearl.  The blue stones include Blue Chalcedony, Blue Lace Agate, Blue Abalone, and Turquoise.  (Here, I'm wearing the blue set with blue abalone stones, and turquoise daisy centers.)  The green set includes Chrysoprase, Chrysocolla, Jade, and Maw Sit Sit (shown below with chrysoprase stones & Maw Sit Sit centers).  And the reds include Fire Agate, Red Aventurine (actually kind of gold), Red Sea Coral, and Rose Quartz.

Raquel Is Looking Forward To Spring!

I'm wishing for springtime, so this week I have to offer a new jewelry release called Raquel--a casual set with pretty, chunky stones in vivid colors.  This jewelry is perfect to wear with your jeans or with a cute spring dress.  There are 3 color sets from which to choose-- Lights, Bolds, and Earthtones--and here you see an example of each.  At the top, Earthtones, which includes this Spiderweb Obsidian.  I think you will like this black stone as much as I do.  It's difficult to come up with a black that has some character to set it apart, but this obsidian has white "spiderweb" veins running through it for just the right amount of variation.  Also included in Earthtones is a pretty Rutilated Quartz, Moonstone, and Amber.  The dangling pearl adds just enough of a "girly" touch.

Photo #2--The Lights set, which includes this beautiful Amazonite stone as well as a very lovely green Chrosoprase, Pink Opal, and Lavender Chalcedony.  Now, that's a set of springtime colors!

And, last but not least, I can never resist a set of bright Bold colors.  The Bold set includes this Amethyst and a gorgeous "peacock" Chrysocolla with blue and green shades, a peachy Coral, and Jade.

Here's a slurl to the NEW ELEMENTAL JEWELRY location.  That's right, we had to move rather unexpectedly, so be sure to delete your old landmarks and get the new one.

I'm wearing:

Skin:  League Skins--Jen in pales.  Purchased full price.  League has some very pricey skins, but OMG are they beautiful.  I had to save my lindens for months to buy this, but I'm really enjoying it.
Eyes:  Mayfly--Liquid Light Mesh Eyes in dusky hazel.  Yep!  I'm sporting some new eyes!  I didn't think I'd ever find some I liked as well as my old ones from Sin Skins, but these are just beautiful.  They come in a huge array of colors, and are very reasonably priced at only $99L each.  I really appreciate that, and I will be back for more.  This pair was purchased on sale for 60L!
