Her Style Is Vintage Gold & Jade

Are you ready?  Another hunt is starting at ELEMENTAL JEWELRY!  This is going to be a fabulous hunt, ladies--the Her Style Hunt, organized by Phoenix Welles.  (Hunt details are available by clicking the Her Style Hunt sign at ELEMENTAL JEWELRY--on the left side of the doorway.  You can join the Her Style Group by clicking the Her Style Group Inviter on the right side of the doorway.)  For this hunt, I've made some lovely Vintage Gold & African Jade Earrings--here are a couple of photos to lure you to the hunt.

I love to give group gifts to match my hunt gifts so that my group members will end up with complete sets of jewelry.  I've mailed my loyal "groupies" a matching Vintage Gold & African Jade Necklace, and if you want to join the group now, new group members can purchase the necklace for the minimal group price of L$50.

But, that's not all.  I got carried away and made another group gift for June....a matching Vintage Gold & African Jade Bracelet.  The bracelet is posted on the group wall at ELEMENTAL JEWELRY.  Old and new group members alike can grab a free bracelet at the shop--see slurl below.

These Rings Are Gold...And Now They're Silver

You know, sometimes the simplest designs are the best.  The Rings of Gold Necklace & Earrings was one of the first jewelry sets I made in SL.  I've worn it myself many, many times--because it just goes with every outfit, even the ones with that odd color you just can't seem to match.  So, rather than bump this classic design for a more recent item, I decided to re-vitalize it with a higher quality texture...AND to produce it in silver.  Now, you can have both gold & silver in one reasonably priced set--ONLY L$100 Introductory price for the first week, then ONLY L$150!

They're classic, and you can find them at ELEMENTAL JEWELRY--

I'm also wearing:
Skin:  Sarah, Gloss Beauty, a free skin from Mamboo Chic--BEAUTIFUL skins at reasonable prices.
Dress:  Marilyn in periwinkle, from ICING--one of my favorite vintage dress shops, and one of my favorite
dresses as well.  (It's even animated to do the "wind through the vent blows dress up" movie scene!)
Hair:  ETD Bonita--another great freebie!
And I'm enjoying a shopping outing at one of the lovely Costa Rica sims.

Infinity And Beyond

Here I am at home--relaxing with a good book.  I'm wearing the newest release from ELEMENTAL JEWELRY--the INFINITY NECKLACE & EARRINGS.  This is a pretty set with swirly gold links and texture changing semi-precious stone beads of lapis lazuli, malachite, red coral, purple agate, or black onyx (black onyx is not pictured). The beads change texture individually so you can wear one color, or mix them up as shown.  The necklace is resizable so you can fit it perfectly to your own avatar.  Have a look at the closeup below.

I'm also wearing:
Hair:  Zoe from Truth Hair.
Outfit:  Nikki Ree Diana Jacket & Pants in blue.
Shoes--HoneyBear's Blue Strips/Black Pumps.  I bought these shoes ages ago, and I'm not even
certain that they are still available, but I love them.
Chair:  I'm sitting pretty in my new Adele's Chair from Clutter.  You really need to go have a look to
           appreciate it--  http://slurl.com/secondlife/Wind%20River%20Territory/71/41/22

Enchanted with Enchanted Stones!

When I walked into Elemental Jewelry by Contessa Lacombe for the first time, I knew I had finally found a SL jewelry designer who is a kindred spirit. No bling, no diamonds. Just great combinations of metal and stone textures in unique styles that coordinate with the various colors of my wardrobe.

Contessa has given me the privilege on her blog of showing you some of the great ways that her jewelry combines with
my SL wardrobe. Here's some photos of me wearing her Enchanted Stones 2 set. I hope you have as much fun mixing and matching her pieces as I do!

Was That Celtic Amazons Or Creative Angels?

At ELEMENTAL JEWELRY, there are two new hunts for May:  The Celtic Amazon Warriors Hunt For Life, which starts on May 16, and the Creative Angels Hunt, which begins on May 17.  And, yes, the names have been confusing me.

The Celtic Amazon Warriors Hunt for Life is a fantasy/role play themed hunt which will benefit the American Cancer Society through the Relay for Life Second Life.  Hunt participants purchase a HUD that allows them to collect the hunt gifts, and the proceeds go to the charity.  For this hunt, I have made a resizable unisex Celtic Spiral Pendant in silver and black onyx.  For more information on this hunt, check out the hunt blog:
http://celticamazonwarriorsforlife.blogspot.com/p/warriors-hunt-for-life.html

The Creative Angels Hunt also has a bit of a twist--the hunt vendors are nominated by and the hunt themes are determined by the participants.  The first hunt in the series will have the theme "randomness".  Now, I had to think about that one.  The item I ended up with is a cuff with a very random silver texture and ornamentation, plus a red jasper stone.  I've made it in a large and small version so that it can be worn my male or female avatars--and both are resizable as well.  For more info on this hunt:  http://creativeangelhunts.com/about/

These Blossoms Are Bewitched

I was working on a new earring design the other day, and I decided to use a faceted teardrop stone--something I'd probably never do in rl.  Then I had to decide on a color for the stone.  Well, I was out in my garden looking at the early spring flowers, and I thought why not use photos of flowers to texture stones?

I dug out some photos of flowers, and OMG!  It turned out even better than expected--The stones are lovely colors, and if you look closely they appear to have flowers encased inside them.    Beautiful!

I've done them in Blue Hydrangea, Yellow Coreopsis, Pink Orchid, Purple Pansy, Red Rose, and Green Shamrock.  (Hmm.....may have to save that last one for next St. Patrick's Day.)

They are called Bewitched Blossoms, and as you can see, there are matching necklaces as well.

Release date--May 13, 2011.  Introductory pricing through May 15--L$95 for individual necklace or earrings, L$175 for necklace & earring set.

Come to the shop and have a look!

I'm also wearing:
Some more of my vast collection of Truth hair--Peta in Chocolate.
A great tank top and pants from The Spirit Store.
And my standard Redgrave "Leona" skin, which I adore.
