It's Roxanne--Not The One In The Song

Actually, I went to high school with a girl named Roxanne, and I always thought it was a great name.  I feel really pretty today.  I have some great new D!VA hair, and a beautiful mesh top from Maitreya, plus some fabulous new jewelry from ELEMENTAL.  I really like this set--and it's called Roxanne.  The jewelry features a faceted teardrop gem with filigree and texture changing semi-precious stones to coordinate or contrast with the main stone.  In each set, there are 4 stone textures from which to choose, which gives lots of wardrobe variety.  You can also make it shiny silver or gold, whichever suits your fancy, or even a darker silver if your mood is dark.  In the top photo, I'm wearing the emerald set and below it's the ruby.

Oh, and those aren't backdrops you see in the photos.  It's art!  I popped into the Surreal Effects Art Gallery to check out the exhibit and thought it would be a great background for my photos.  The art is done with animated light effects and is quite beautiful to wander through.

If you'd like to see the other stone choices in the Roxanne collection, pop over to ELEMENTAL JEWELRY and have a look in the "New" section up front.  Here's a slurl:

The Wonderful Oz Tour

I found a great  place to explore--Enchantment Island.  There are several different themes you can follow, and this time, I'm doing the Wizard of Oz Tour.  Uh oh!  The house landed on the wicked witch!  Throughout the tour, there are lots of info stations that provide trivia as well as quotes from the original book.  Did you know that in the book Dorothy's slippers are silver, not ruby?  Who knew?  I think this might be a case where the book is better than the movie, so I'm planning to pick up a copy.

I'm wearing clothes from Sn@tch, and jewelry from ELEMENTAL JEWELRY.  This is the Bianca Necklace & Earrings, and I'm thinking it might have some great possibilities for role play outfits.  It comes in 3 color sets--Classics (top), Dichroic Glass (middle), and Lights (bottom). Classics include blue turquoise, black obsidian, carnelian, and green turquoise. The Dichroic Glass set includes a vibrant purple, red, blue, and green choice in "gems".  The Lights set includes a pretty light blue chrysocolla, coral, a lighter green turquoise, and a light colored amethyst.

La Luna

OMG!  What a creepy cat!  lol.  Yes, I've found another Wonderland-themed sim--I really like Alice In Wonderland.  I found this fantastic new dress with a handkerchief hemline at PurpleMoon and it put me in a party mood, so I went looking for a tea party to attend.  If that Mad Hatter doesn't get here soon, I'm going to have to stick my finger in the cake frosting and have a taste.

I'm wearing new jewelry from ELEMENTAL JEWELRY, the La Luna Pendant & Earrings.  It comes in three color sets, each texture changing with 4 metal choices--silver, gold, silver sparkles, gold sparkles--and 5 mix & match stones.  The "Classics" set (top) includes ruby, lapis, tsavorite, turquoise, and spiderweb obsidian.  Set 2, "Lights" (middle) has moonstone, pink opal, blue lace agate, chrysoprase, and citrine.  "Brights" (bottom) includes fire agate, peridot, purple sapphire, blue chalcedony, and garnet.  Here's a slurl for the ELEMENTAL JEWELRY mainshop:

Lucky Arabella Wins The Prize!

Do you like lucky boards?  I don't think it's a surprise to anyone that I LOVE them.  When I'm blogging, making vendor ads, etc, I see no reason why I should waste my SL time, so I'm usually standing in front of a set of lucky boards while I work.  Below, I'm patiently waiting at one of my favorite spots, Sn@tch.  Come on....give me a "C"!!  LOL.  (And, yes, I did win the dress!  Yay!)  Oh, yes, jewelry...In this post, I am modeling the newest release from ELEMENTAL JEWELRY, Arabella.  I actually started with the bracelet, which I think is the absolute best piece in the set, and everything else followed.  The set is divided into packages so you can pick and choose--A Necklace Set with a medium and long pendant which you can layer or wear separately, An Earring & Ring Set containing the earrings and left & right rings, and a Bracelet Set containing the left & right bracelets.  The jewelry is texture changing--gold or silver with 3 stone choices per texture set--#1 includes green Peridot, Turquoise, & Coral, #2 has Sugalite, Chrysoprase, & Fire Opal, and #3 includes Labradorite, Ammolite, & Unikite.  Above, I'm wearing Set #3 with gold & labradorite.

In photos 2 & 3, I'm wearing Set #1 with gold & turquoise, and at the bottom, I'm wearing Set #2 with gold & sugalite.

You can find the Arabella Jewelry @ the ELEMENTAL JEWELRY mainshop.  This weekend, you can pick it up for a ridiculously low introductory price of 60L for each set!  And, while you're there, be sure to check out the hunts and group gifts.

Cover Me In Layers Of Beads And Necklaces!

I've been thinking of layering separate necklaces for some time now, and I finally got around to doing it.  First, a couple strands of beads.  These are called Lotus Beads because they have a pretty lotus flower motif on each bead.  They come in sets of two colors each, and the strands are texture-changing so you can wear two colors at once, or you can make both strands the same color.  Each set of Lotus Beads comes with a matching set of bead earrings as well (not shown), because you might just want to wear the beads alone.  Next, there is a Lotus Pendant and Earrings Set--also texture changing.  The metal can be gold, silver, or black.  Above, you see the Garnet and Blue Jasper set.  For the center of the flower, you have a choice of white pearl, yellow opal, or green opal.  Actually, you can use all 5 stone textures on the petals or center in any combination, giving you a wide variety of possibilities.

The second set of Lotus Beads comes in Aqua and Pink, and the third set is Purple and Green.  There is a Lotus Pendant/Earring set in Pink Opal and Turquoise, and another set in purple Sugalite and green Maw Sit Sit.  You could buy all three sets of beads and just mix and match the colors any way you choose!  Last, but very important, is a set of Add-On Chains--7 chains in various lengths, and each changes textures--gold, silver, black, aqua, pink, blue, red, purple, green.  These chains really help fill out the layered look.  They are separate, so you can add one or all seven.  They will look great with other beads or necklaces too.  If you aren't sure how to "add" the chains and necklaces, instructions are included.

Here's Where I Got The Beautiful Hair...And Jewelry

At least once a week I receive a notecard from a customer wanting to know what this hairstyle is--it appears on many of my vendor photos because I enjoy wearing it.  It's really beautiful, isn't it?  (Actually, I was shopping one day and noticed a lady with this hair, and I just HAD to ask her where she got it.  Funny!)  It's Dina from Emo-tions Hair.  OK, now let's play a bit of catch up on the petite jewelry available @ PETITE ELEMENTAL JEWELRY, and, of course, it's all available at "biggie" ELEMENTAL JEWELRY as well.  Above is the Petite Adriana Necklace & Earrings in Lights--Peridot (shown above), Turquoise, Blue Moonstone, & Rhodochrosite, Silver or Gold, all in one texture-changing set.  I really like this set as it's a bit different, not a pendant or choker, more like a showpiece to set off any neckline.  It's also available in "Brights"--Amethyst, Spiderweb Obsidian, Amazonite, & Red Abalone.

I couldn't resist including this shot.  I'm at The Noble Storybook sim, a magnificent tribute to Beatrix Potter, and I'm standing on her desk!  How great is that for a little fairy?  Oh, and the jewelry--The Petite Kira Necklace & Earrings in "Cools"--Purple Agate, Sugalite, Peacock Chrysocolla, Turquoise, Blue Chaldedony, and Moonstone with Gold, Silver, & Black metal.  Also in "Warms"--Fire Opal, Fire Agate, Red Lace Agate, Amber, Ruby, and Red Italian Glass.  I have to tell you, this was a pain to adapt for petites.  LOL.  But, I think it was worth the effort.

And, below, The Petite Lilliana Necklace & Earrings in "Classics"--Ruby, Lapis Lazuli, Onyx, & Maw Sit Sit.  Also available in "Lights"--Rutilated Quartz, Pink Opal, Chrysocolla, & Ammolite--and "Brights"--Coral, Blue Jasper, Chrysoprase, & Charoite.  This one is really pretty and quite versatile.  I've worn it with casual clothes, evening clothes, and when I'm a fairy.

You can get all of the jewelry shown here @ PETITE ELEMENTAL JEWELRY and ELEMENTAL JEWELRY:

Kira At Skye Neist Point

Let's get away from formal jewelry for a bit.  This week, I'm wearing my jeans and taking a walk at Alex Bader's new place, Skye Neist Point.  As you might expect, this is a lovely sim with beautiful landscaping, and some good photo spots.  Above, I'm on the beach with sand between my toes.  I'm wearing the new Kira Necklace & Earrings from ELEMENTAL JEWELRY.  This set features a teardrop pendant, swirled rings, and bunches of tiny beads in your choice of 6 semi-precious stones.  You can change the main stone, rings, and small beads independently, mixing the stones for various looks.  Above, I'm wearing the Kira Cools set with peacock chrysocolla, but the beads are turquoise.  Other choices include purple agate, sugalite, blue chalcedony, and moonstone.

In the bottom photo, I'm wearing the Kira Warms set, featuring ruby stone and rings, with fire opal beads.  Other stone choices in this set include fire agate, amber, red lace agate, and a pretty red Italian glass.  Both sets change from silver to gold.  You can find them at ELEMENTAL JEWELRY:
