Moonglow

I really enjoy looking at vintage jewelry.  I have to say that it's just...better.  The designs always look as though they've taken much time and thought, and yet they are simply elegant.  But, sometimes, it's the simplest designs and materials that catch your eye.  For example, have you ever noticed any of the plastic "moonglow" jewelry?  It's pretty much just simple beads, bangles, and such, and yet the gleaming colors make the jewelry special.

I've spent a good bit of time recently toying with textures trying to duplicate that "glow" effect.  I've made simple retro beads, classic button earrings and drop earrings in one set, and a single "cuff" bracelet plus a stack of bangles in another set.  Each set is texture changing, with 3 lovely shades in each.  You can mix and match the stack of bangle bracelets--all the same color, or all mixed up.  There is a very glowy set in primary colors--blue, red, and green (above), and a set with summer shades (below).  I like them all, but my favorite is the blue in the photo above.  Pop over to ELEMENTAL and have a closer look, and don't forget to pick up the current group gift and hunt gift for a matching set of jewelry!
