Ophelia

I'm feeling blonde today, and this new hair from Truth fits the mood.  I like how it looks just a bit messy, because who wants to wear sprayed down helmet hair, right?  I bought it in my well-loved browns as well, so I expect I will be getting a lot of mileage from this one.  Thanks Truth!  This is a new top as well--from Sn@tch.  I never seem to fail to find cute tops there.  And, the jewelry is a new release from ELEMENTAL JEWELRY--the Ophelia necklaces and earrings.  You can buy either gold or silver, and both come with texture changing stones with six chioces.  The silver set (below) comes with golden tiger eye, black tourmaline, blue violet sugalite, pink rhodochrosite, blue jasper and a light green emerald.  The gold set (above) comes with this aqua chrysoprase, a green peridot, purple agate, blue sodalite, red spinel, and white onyx.  That's pretty much something for every outfit!

Ava Gets A Face Lift

A friend told me about Luna Jubilee's 52 Weeks of Color Challenge, and I thought it sounded like fun.  So, even though this is my shop blog, I'm going to try to plug into the challenge as often as I can.  This week, the color is Tyrian Purple (http://lunajubilee.com/2012/08/12/52-weeks-of-color-challenge-tyrian-purple/).  I was working on an update for the Vintage ~ Ava jewelry, and I plugged in this tyrian purple sugalite to fit the challenge.   And what a good match for this beautiful fantasy gown from Evie's Closet!

TheVintage ~ Ava 2 jewelry comes in 3 metal choices--antique gold, bright gold, or silver.  Each set includes 10 stone choices that you can pick from an easy to use menu.  The menu also allows resizing, and you can add shine, glow, or full bright as well.  In the top photo, I'm wearing the antique gold set, and in the bottom photo, I have on the silver set with turquoise stones.  Other stones include black onyx, moonstone, rose quartz, ruby, purple sapphire (a more blue violet than the tyrian), emerald, lapis lazuli, and blue topaz.

I'm No Cheetah!

I'm not a big lover of animal print, but I really like this dress from PurpleMoon, and I was able to get the mesh to fit well.  It was a group gift, and I think it looks fantastic with this new set of jewelry from ELEMENTAL.  This is one of the most versatile sets ever, The Natalie Beads & Earrings, lariat necklace with texture changing beads and ring, color change, and the now standard have-it-your-way glow, shine, full bright, and sizing.  There are 5 bead textures--animal print, gold/white, red, blue, and green--and 4 ring textures--gold, silver, crinkled gold, and crinkled silver.  If you choose the silver for the ring, you can then add color so that it matches the red, blue, or green beads.  Or, if you want, you could even make the beads a solid color and match them with the gold or silver rings.  Adding varying levels of shine and glow adds further options in the color range.  There are endless possibilities!

Here's the gold/white option with a shiny gold ring, which can be worn with so many colors--a truly classic look.  And below is the red/white bead with silver ring tinted red--won't it be perfect with a lovely red Christmas dress?  Or you could make the beads solid red and use the gold rings.
