Golden Swirls

You know that I love those brightly colored stones, but you just have to have some neutral gold and silver jewelry in your wardrobe.  This is the ELEMENTAL JEWELRY Golden Swirls Necklace & Earrings, which is new at the Designer Showcase this week.  (Only L$70 for the set.)  (The silver version will be out soon!)  I thought it looked pretty good with my new dress from Snowpaws--this beautiful, poofy blue dress is a gift for the Where is the Concert Hunt--thanks Carrie!

Oh, and while you're at the Flawless Sim, there is a big Valentine's Event on the entire sim.  Look for the red hearts in the shops--tons of cool stuff marked down at least 50%.  And there are carts all around the sim with even bigger mark downs, from Flawless designers, as well as designers from all over the grid.  Every cart has at least one item that is L$10 or less.  ELEMENTAL has a cart right in front of the Designer Showcase, and a shop just about a block up on the corner.

My Mood Is Moroccan

I love lapis lazuli.  I probably use it way too often when I'm designing jewelry, but I just can't get enough of that vivid blue color.  Here I am wearing the latest release from ELEMENTAL JEWELRY--The Moroccan Mood Necklace & Earrings, in Lapis & Silver.  Have a look at the closeup below.  Pretty.  Of course, being the practical gal that I am, I also like versatility--so this set has texture changing stones in lapis, jade, amethyst, and red coral--lots of options without clogging up your inventory!  Both the earrings and necklace are resizable for the perfect fit--and because you may not like your earrings quite as large as I do.

And, as usual, if you hurry on over to ELEMENTAL this weekend, you can grab your own Moroccan Mood for a fantastic price!  The earrings and the necklace are featured in the 60L Weekend Sale this weekend only.

Party On!

WhooHoooo!  It's about time for Mardi Gras again, and here I am on Bourbon Street, all decked out in my beads...waiting.  Let's get this party started!!!  Out of curiosity, I did some research.  Carnival season in New Orleans starts after Twelfth Night, on Epiphany--January 6--and culminates with Fat Tuesday--The Tuesday before Ash Wednesday, which is the start of Lent.  This year, 2012, Fat Tuesday falls on February 21.  Fat Tuesday is the really big blast out party everyone thinks of when they think of Mardi Gras.  (Thinks to herself...I'm so confused.  Is it a party, or a religious holiday?...Oh, well, anyway...)

You can pick up your own set of beads at ELEMENTAL JEWELRY!  The Bourbon Street 2--Xtreme Mardi Gras! Hunt runs from January 21 to February 21, 2012.  The hunt was organized by Kastle Rock/Electric Hunts and all hunt gifts are L$1.  So, come enjoy the hunt, gather up all the fantastic Mardi Gras paraphenalia, dress yourself in gawdy glory, and party on!!

Vintage ~ Jane Gold

Some folks prefer silver, others prefer gold.  And sometimes, of course, your selection just depends upon what you're wearing.  Last week, I introduced the Vintage ~ Jane Silver jewelry set.  So, this week for my gold-loving fans, I've made the Vintage ~ Jane Gold Necklace & Earrings, with texture changing stones in Lapis Lazuli, Purple Sapphire, Black Tourmaline, Chrysocolla, Ruby, and Jade.  (See below for a closeup.)  With all of those stone choices, you can get alot of mileage out of this set.  And it looks fantastic with my new vintage dress from Ivalde!  (Great neckline for that necklace, huh?  Sorry you can't see the bottom half--it has a long, flowy skirt.)

Jane Is Vintage @ ELEMENTAL

This week at ELEMENTAL JEWELRY, there is an addition to the Vintage line.  When I make one of the vintage designs, I usually start by looking at photos of actresses and models from the era and make something I think one of them would have worn.  You might find this design in the 1940's to 50's.  Introducing...Vintage ~ Jane, Silver Necklace & Earrings with Texture Changing Stones set in a swirled bezel.  The stones can be changed to Blue Moonstone, Onyx, Amber, Turquoise, Emerald, and Rhodochrosite.  Both the necklace & earrings are resizable, are sold separately, and will be in the 60L Weekend Sale this weekend only.
